Immune Gelatine Gummies

These little beauties contain gelatine, which is great for gut health and supporting a vibrant immune system.

The Citrus contain both Vitamin C and Bioflavonoids acting as important antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.

Ginger, turmeric and clove are soothing to the gut, anti-spasmodic, anti-septic and beautifully nourish the gut and immune system.


It's important to remember that up to 70% of your immune system is housed in your gut! So, take care of your gut wealth, and you'll achieve immune health too!

Ingredients: 

60g gelatine powder (grass fed organic, I use @nutraorganics )

360ml water

1 whole lemon, roughly chopped

1x whole orange, roughly chopped

5 cm fresh ginger, chopped

1 tsp turmeric powder

4 clove buds

1 tbsp lemon grass (fresh or tea leaves)


Method:

  1. To a pot on the stove, add the lemon, orange, ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, and clove buds.

  2. Add 200mls water and bring the mix to the boil. Turn the heat off, and let the mixture infuse for 1 hour.

  3. When the mixture has simmered and you're ready to make the jellies, bloom the gelatine by stirring the powder into 160mls water. Stir until the mixture thickens.

  4. Grab the pot of infused water and bring to a simmer once again, then strain the liquid from the fruit into a bowl.

  5. To the hot liquid, whisk through the gelatine until the mix resembles liquid only 

  6. Pour into moulds or a lined baking stray and set in the fridge for 30 minutes until the mix is firm and resembles jelly.
