You Can't Cram for Weight Loss
At school I was the kid who crammed the night before the test and still got top marks.
Honestly? It worked. Every time.
So naturally I applied the same logic to my body. The week before a wedding, two weeks out from a holiday, the night before a spontaneous dinner out. Panic. Restrict. Push. Hope for the best.
And while the stress and the scarcity and the deadline dopamine were weirdly motivating, the results were not exactly what I was going for.
Sound familiar?
Here's what I eventually had to accept
You cannot cram for weight loss.
It is not an assignment you can smash out the night before. It is not a test you can ace on four hours sleep and sheer willpower. Your body does not work on deadlines.
What it does work on is rhythm. Structure. Consistency over time.
I went to the gym this morning. Thirty minutes. Did not want to go. Went anyway. Not because I have a wedding in two weeks. Because I have a plan in place and the plan does not negotiate with my feelings, especially if I want the results.
And that is the difference.
What changes when you have the structure
When you have the structure, you stop white knuckling it two weeks out from every big event. You stop the panic and the restriction and the stress. You just keep going because going has become the default.
Will there be wobbly parts? Yes. Always.
But when you get into the rhythm, when the momentum builds and the tiny dopamine hits start stacking up, when you feel your muscle coming through and your energy lifting and your body finally reflecting the effort you have been putting in, you look back and realise you have lost the weight, gained the strength and feel genuinely good.
And it is so much more enjoyable than cramming ever was.
The best time to start is before you need to
Most women come to me two weeks before the event. Stressed, restricted, hoping for a miracle.
What they actually need is a plan they can live inside for the long term. One that feels enjoyable most of the time. One that builds the kind of momentum that means the wedding, the holiday, the spontaneous dinner out is just another Tuesday, not a crisis.
That is what The Reset is built for.
45 days of committing to a plan that works, committing to you. A full framework, structure, unique-to-you nutrition, recipes and access to me throughout.
By the time your next big event rolls around, you will not be cramming. You will already be there.
